The Vision: Defining Exceptionality
Juglans & Regia is defined by its devotion to “exceptional objects” and unconventional creative collaborations. My challenge was to develop a brand system that didn’t just house these objects but reflected their soul. I acted as the lead visual strategist, designing the entire brand ecosystem from its initial logo to its global digital and physical launch.
The Strategy: A Total Design Synthesis
I approached this project as a holistic design exercise, ensuring that the brand’s sophisticated, artisanal DNA was woven into every asset:
Brand Identity & Systems:
I developed the core visual language, starting with a logo that balances geometric precision with timeless elegance. This evolved into a comprehensive design system—including typography, color palettes, and grid structures—engineered to scale from luxury packaging to large-scale marketing.
The Digital Flagship:
I designed and directed the website to function as a digital gallery. The interface prioritizes negative space and high-end typography, allowing the objects to breathe while providing a seamless, high-conversion user experience.
Tactile Storytelling (Lookbooks & Print):
For the collection launch, I creative-directed and designed the lookbooks and marketing suites. These pieces were conceived as tactile extensions of the brand, using curated photography and experimental layouts to transform a commercial catalog into a collector’s item.
The Intervention: The Launch Ecosystem
Beyond the core assets, I designed the full communication strategy for the brand’s debut. This included every marketing piece—from social media assets and digital newsletters to physical launch invitations—ensuring a singular, hypnotic atmosphere accompanied the brand as it entered the market.
The Result: A Singular Brand Universe
By unifying the brand’s visual identity with its digital and print communications, I solved the problem of brand fragmentation at launch. Juglans & Regia entered the market not just as a store, but as a fully realized universe—positioning itself immediately as a leader in curated, artisanal design.
